Tara Crystal Chandeliers will showcase wonderfully hand-crafted classic and contemporary crystal chandeliers at ‘Timeless – The Irish Antique Dealers Fair’ in Dublin’s RDS from 28 to 30 September.

Tara Crystal Chandeliers was formed in 1993 by local man and former Waterford Crystal master blower, the late Joe Foley, to specialise in the art of designing and making crystal chandeliers.

Based at Castlecroddick, Annestown, sales manager Tadhg Dineen says Tara Crystal Chandeliers craftspeople are skilled in blowing, cutting and polishing full lead crystal. “We take pride in the skill and attention to detail which goes into each chandelier. We have supplied and fitted chandeliers in Georgian and Victorian homes, hotels, country houses and castles all over the country. Dublin red-brick Georgian homes are a good source of business as there is constant renovation. In the Georgian period, these homes would have had chandeliers lit by candles, and later by gas,” Tadhg explains.

Visitors to Timeless will also be able to view the treasures of Salvador Dali for the first time in Ireland.

Gormleys Fine Art are bringing a collection of 14 Dali works worth over EUR 300,000 to the event, the first time that a display of this size has come to Ireland. “This will be the first chance for many people to experience so much of Dali’s work at close hand,” says Oliver Gormley.

Top Irish jewellers will also be in attendance at the fair, which features a carefully selected blend of contemporary and antique-focused exhibitors, allowing all ages to focus on the once-off yet affordable design that appeals to them.
