Borosil Glass Works Limited has announced net profit at INR 8.92 crore for the quarter ended Mar 2017. The company’s sales increased by 18% to INR 75.27 crore. BGWL’s operating loss was at INR 0.56 crore and profit before depreciation and tax was at INR 12.11 crore. BGWL’s equity capital was at INR 2.31 crore, share price as on 12 June 2017, INR 9,009 and price earnings ratio, 45.50. The company’s shares of face value INR 10 each, recorded 52-week high/low prices of INR 9,088/3,600.
Borosil Glass Works is the market leader for laboratory glassware and microwavable kitchenware in India. It was established in 1962 in collaboration with Corning Glass Works US.
In 1988, Corning divested its shareholding to the current Indian promoters.
